History, Experience and Qualifications
Dan Meyers is an experienced home inspector, with an active business in New Jersey since 2005.
The Meyers family have been coming to the Berkshires in Massachusetts for many years, to enjoy it’s beauty, nature and culture, and have come to love the area and the people of the Berkshires. In 2019, the Meyers purchased a unique older home in Lenox, MA and have been splitting time between New Jersey and Massachusetts.
In February, 2022, the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Home Inspectors granted a full Home Inspection license to Dan Meyers, based upon his extensive experience and Dan’s NJ License, making Dan the first person to be granted a Massachusetts Home Inspection license based upon reciprocity / endorsement. The board found NJ and MA to both have very high standards for training and education for Home Inspectors.
- In addition to his state licenses, Dan is also a full member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), the oldest and most respected national home inspector sanctioning organization. ASHI pre-dates all state licensing requirements.
- Dan Meyers completed the NJ 300 hour licensing course, which is the longest and most comprehensive home inspector training program in the United States.
- Dan has performed over 5000 inspections on all types and ages of homes and buildings.
- Dan holds a degree in engineering from the prestigious Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York (1984). Dan’s engineering education and professional experience make him uniquely qualified to evaluate the structures of older and historic homes, barn conversions and other unusual home and building types.
